About you…and therapy

One of my favorite authors and psychologists is Rollo May. Here is a quote that really resonates: Therapy isn’t curing somebody of something; it is a means of helping a person explore himself, his life, his consciousness. My purpose as a therapist is to find out what it means to be human. Every human being must have a point at which he stands against the culture, where he says, “This is me and the world be damned!”

A Happy Family…

Time magazine published an article this year with 7 tips on how to have a happy family. A few of the tips may surprise you. It suggests writing lists, learning about and sharing your family history, and empowering your kids to select their own punishments.

Take a look. The research is extensive.

One of my goals is to help others who think they aren’t creative see that they are.
